Yeast
Ironized yeast tablets were used to gain weight during the 1930’s. During this time, women were encouraged to “gain weight before hitting the beach”. Ironized yeast tablets were advertised to help “put on pounds of firm flesh, enticing curves” in just a few weeks. The tablets contained 100 mg of iron and 2.25 mg of vitamin B1
